    Buchenwald Concentration Camp was liberated by the 6th Armored Division, part of the United States Third Army under the command of Captain Frederic Keffer. They arrived at Buchenwald on April 11, 1945 at 3:15 p.m.
    Photo is of some of the emaciated survivors who had not yet been removed from the camp, April 16, 1945.
